Riccardo Foschi is an Italian architect and adjunct professor at the University of Bologna, where he researches the parametric modeling of origami in architecture, furniture design, and manufacturing. His deep curiosity—about geometry, nature, and unexpected forms—infuses each of his origami creations with thoughtful playfulness.
Originally folding as a child at his mother’s request in primary school, Riccardo began designing original models in 2014. Since then, he’s shared imaginative designs like the feathered tsuru and an atlas beetle that prioritizes elegance and simplicity—even avoiding tricky sink folds to let the paper speak for itself. His creative philosophy blends architecture’s precision with origami’s poetry, inviting folders to see geometry as magic waiting to be discovered.
