These instructions will show you how to fold an easy origami dachshund. If you’re new to paper folding we recommend that you take a quick look at our Beginner’s Guide which will teach you all the basic techniques.

Dachshund Step 1

Step 1) Fold and unfold the paper in half diagonally both ways. Then fold the two side corners to the centre.

Dachshund Step 2

Step 2) Fold the sides of the paper in to the centre.

Step 3) Completely unfold the paper.

Dachshund Step 4

Step 4) Fold the paper along the dotted line. This is an existing crease.

Dachshund Step 5

Step 5) Fold the top layer of paper along the dotted line.

Dachshund Step 6

Step 6) Fold and unfold the paper along the dotted line.

Dachshund Step 7

Step 7) Fold the top layer of paper down along the dotted line and Squash Fold the paper into a Rabbit Ear Fold using the existing creases.

Step 8) fold the paper out along the dotted line.

Dachshund Step 9

Step 9) Repeat steps 4-8 on the other side.

Dachshund Step 10

Step 10) Turn the paper over.

Dachshund Step 11

Step 11) Rotate the paper 90 degrees.

Dachshund Step 12

Step 12) Fold the left corner of the paper in a little bit and then fold the model in half along the dotted line.

Dachshund Step 13

Step 13) Fold the top section of paper up along the dotted line.

Dachshund Step 14

Step 14) Fold the model in half along the dotted lines.

Dachshund Step 15

Step 15) Fold and unfold along the dotted lines. You’ll use these creases in the next step.

Dachshund Step 16

Step 16) Make a Crimp Fold using the existing creases.

Dachshund Step 17

Step 17) Fold the side of the head up along the dotted line and then repeat on the other side.

Dachshund Step 18

Step 18) Fold and unfold along the dotted line.

Dachshund Step 19

Step 19) Make an Inside Reverse Fold along the crease from the last step.

Dachshund Step 20

Step 20) Fold the paper along the dotted line and repeat on the other side.

Step 21) Fold the paper along the dotted line and repeat on the other side.
