How to Make a Hexagon from a Rectangle
Making a hexagon from a square sheet can be tricky, with all the precise folds it requires. Luckily, starting from a rectangle makes things much easier and more beginner-friendly.
The only catch? Rectangular origami paper is a bit rare. Most sheets you’ll find are printer or thin construction paper. But those still work well enough for easy models.
You can also cut a rectangle from a square sheet, but in that case, you can check out our other guide on how to make a hexagon from that instead.
