Francis Ow Mun Yin was a beloved figure in the origami community, celebrated for his gentle creativity and generosity. Over his lifetime, he designed hundreds of origami models and authored dozens of iconic heart-themed and geometric diagrams—including the popular 60° and 120° edge units that underpin modular constructions.
Francis was also a dedicated instructor with Singapore’s People’s Association, passionately teaching origami workshops that emphasized clarity and approachability. Even after his passing in 2018, his legacy endures through his generously shared diagrams and the ongoing influence of his designs.
