How to Fold an Origami Vampire Mouth: Step-by-Step Instructions

This origami vampire mouth was designed by Francesco Mancini and makes for a playful, beginner-friendly Halloween fold.

It’s a quick project with a satisfying final result, perfect for classroom crafts, party decorations, or spooky surprises.

We’ve also included a variation with thinner fangs, in case you’d like to try a slightly different bite.

Step 1

Start with the colored side of the paper facing up. Fold and unfold along both diagonals. Then, turn the paper over.

Step 2

Fold and unfold the top and bottom corners to the center point.

Step 3

Fold the top and bottom corners to where the creases from Step 2 intersect with the vertical centerline.

Step 4

Fold the bottom edge upward along the crease from Step 2.

Step 5

Fold the top edge down to meet the top edge of the colored flap.

Step 6

Mountain fold along the horizontal centerline.

Step 7

Fold the right corner inward to the vertical centerline.

Step 8

Fold the white triangle in half, from top edge to bottom edge.

Step 9

Repeat Steps 7 and 8 on the left side.

Step 10

Bring the flap located behind the fangs to the front.

Step 11

Turn the model over.

Step 12

Fold all corners inward to meet the horizontal centerline.

Step 13

Fold the model in half, from left to right.

Step 14

Slightly fold the top left corner inward.

Step 15

Open the model.

Step 16

Gently push the top section inward along the creases you just made.

Alternative Fangs

After Step 9:

Mountain fold the fangs in half.
Bring the flap behind the fangs to the front.

Then, continue with Step 10 as usual.
