How to Fold an Easy Origami Fan
The sensu, or folding fan, has a really interesting history! It originated during Japan’s Heian period and has evolved from a symbol of aristocratic status to a versatile tool in many aspects of Japanese life. It’s used in traditional dances, theatrical performances, ceremonies, and artwork. Oh, and it’s great for staying cool, too!
In this tutorial, we’re going to make a traditional origami fan. It’s quite an easy model to fold, and it will give you lots of practice with precise folding.
You can use either a rectangular or a square piece of paper. We used small sheets of paper here, but of course, a bigger sheet will make a bigger fan. Helping you stay cool with less effort.
