How to Make an Easy Origami Rhinoceros or Rhino

These instructions will show you how to fold an easy origami rhinoceros or rhino. If you’re new to paper folding we recommend that you check out our Beginner’s Guide which will show you all the basic folding techniques.

Step 1) Fold and unfold the paper in half both ways.

Step 2) Fold the two corners on the right in to the centre.

Step 3) Fold both sides on the left in along the dotted lines.

Step 4) Fold the top layers of paper out along the dotted lines.

Step 5) Fold the model in half.

Step 6) Open the paper out over to the left and Squash Fold it flat. Look at the next diagram to see the final position of the fold.

Step 7) Fold the top flap of paper behind along the dotted line.

Step 8) Pull the paper up and out. Look at the next diagram to see the final position.

Step 9) Fold the paper along the dotted line and then unfold it.

Step 10) Make an Inside Reverse Fold along the dotted line.

Step 11) Make another Inside Reverse Fold along the dotted lines.

Step 12) Fold the paper inside along the dotted line and then repeat on the other side.

Step 13) Make folds along the dotted lines to shape the head and then repeat on the other side.

Step 14) Fold and unfold the paper along the dotted line.

Step 15) Make an Inside Reverse Fold along the crease from the last step.
