Toadly Awesome, Un-Frog-Gettable and Quite Ribbitting Origami Frogs
I’ve been toad that I wasn’t using enough puns on this post titles so here’s a whole bunch.
This post is all about origami frogs and possibly some toads as well.
I just learned that Flickr has an option to embed Flickr photos on websites. In previous posts I’ve been saving the images, resizing them, compressing them and uploading them to this website. Doing it that way ends up taking a really long time every time I make one of these posts.
This time I’m trying the Flickr embed method. Hopefully it should take a lot less time to put together one of these posts.
Let’s get started with Sebastien Limet’s famous Climb Peaks model.

This model is Satoshi Kamiya’s tree frog but depending on what kind of paper you use you can easily change it into something like this poison dart frog.

Satoshi Kamiya’s tree frog looks quite different if you use different coloured paper. The red eyes are a really nice little touch here too.

Here’s the Climb Peaks model again by a different folder with a pretty different look. The frog is hiding a bit more this time.

That’s it for this post. I can definitely confirm that using the Flickr embed code takes way less time than saving each image individually. Some of these images seem to have the embed code disabled but even still, the majority of them work and that’s going to save me a huge amount of time which is awesome.
If you try folding any of these frogs share a photo in the comments so we can take a look!
